Gone Fish’n

So… I lived in Maine and was in the commercial fishing industry for a while. Owned a lobster boat, went sword fishing, scalloping, ground fishing, etc. Spent some time as a skipper on the Northeast Peak of Georges Bank.

When I first got into commercial fishing I worked on Charlie Johnson’s boat. Charlie is the best sword fisherman in the world and an extraordinary icon in the fishing industry.  He’s the best.  He was often referred to as “Two Moon Charlie” because sword-fishing trips on his boat were so long with him at the helm.  Charlie is sited in the book The Perfect Storm (good book; highly recommended).
